Competing against schools from across the league, our students represented KIS with pride, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and positive attitudes throughout a busy day of competition.
The tournament featured a large number of singles and doubles matches, providing students with valuable opportunities to test themselves against strong opposition while gaining experience in a competitive environment. Across every match, KIS players displayed excellent commitment and perseverance, supporting one another and embracing each challenge with confidence.
Several KIS students and doubles teams progressed through to the quarterfinal stages of the competition, achieving strong results against talented players from across the BISAL league. Their performances reflected not only the hard work they have invested in developing their badminton skills, but also their ability to remain focused, resilient, and composed under pressure.
A Standout Performance from Harper
A special congratulations goes to Harper in Grade 9, who delivered an exceptional performance throughout the tournament.
Competing in the girls’ singles division, Harper advanced through multiple rounds to reach the final, demonstrating impressive consistency, determination, and technical skill along the way. In a closely contested championship match, Harper finished as runner-up, earning an outstanding 2nd place finish.
Her achievement is a testament to her dedication, perseverance, and ability to perform at a high level in a competitive setting.
Representing KIS with Pride
While the tournament produced some excellent results, what stood out most was the way our students conducted themselves both on and off the court.
Throughout the day, KIS students embodied the values of sportsmanship and respect, encouraging teammates, supporting one another through victories and setbacks, and competing with integrity. The positive atmosphere created by our students was a wonderful reflection of the KIS community and the spirit we strive to foster through sport.
We are incredibly proud of all students who participated in the BISAL Badminton Tournament and congratulate them on their efforts, achievements, and the way they represented KIS. Their commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm made it a memorable day for everyone involved.
