House System

Fostering a Sense of Community & Teamwork

Welcome to the KIS House System, which is a vibrant tradition that involves every student from Early Years 1 through Grade 12, as well as all academic staff and our parent community. Designed to foster community, teamwork, leadership, and character development, the system ensures that siblings and families are assigned to the same House for their entire KIS journey.

Our four Houses are inspired by iconic figures from ancient Thai mythology:

TOSAKAN

ERAWAN

HANUMAN

NAGA

Throughout the year, a variety of House events bring students together within and across grade levels. These include Sports Day, Swim Gala, talent competitions, assemblies, and even social media challenges and community quiz bowls, each designed to build school spirit, encourage friendly rivalry, and recognize students’ diverse talents beyond academics.

Both in G5 and in Secondary School, the House program provides and promotes leadership, such as House Captain roles and grade level representatives, to give students the chance to develop responsibility, teamwork, and fair play skills in a fun and supportive environment.

At KIS, the House System is more than just healthy competition, it’s a cornerstone of our school culture, creating bonds and memories that last a lifetime.
