A Message from the
Executive Head of School

We welcome you to KIS International School and thank you for considering us for your child’s school experience. Throughout our history, a sense of place and a sense of balance have been hallmarks for the school. The facilities, academic, and extracurricular programme and strong group of teachers have been instrumental in nurturing the school as a warm, friendly, and supportive place for not only our students but for our community as well.

The programs of the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization form the basis of our schoolwide curriculum and ethos. The programs focus on the holistic development of each child and the academic component is strong, world-renowned, and externally-moderated.

About the School

KIS International School, centrally located in Bangkok, Thailand, is an IB World School exclusively offering the International Baccalaureate programmes. KIS is a collaborative community of over 800 students and 50 nationalities. We enjoy a strong community atmosphere and a variety of pursuits in academics, athletics, arts, and service. Students at KIS can pursue a continuum of IB education right from the start through the following programmes:

Our dedicated teachers and supportive parents work in partnership toward the attainment of student success. The school offers an academically challenging international curriculum and a well-rounded programme of sports, creativity, and community service. We provide all our students, from the youngest children stepping into a classroom for the first time, to our graduates heading off to the best universities, with the tools to become life-long learners, successful leaders, and responsible global citizens.

KIS is recognized as a top-quality international school with high academic standards being fully accredited by both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). We are also licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education, and are active members of the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) and East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS).

We are also a member of AISAA (Asian International School Athletics Association) and MRISA (The Mekong River International Schools Association), along with other international schools, participate in a range of sports and cultural activities provided by the organization.

Through membership and affiliations with these organizations, and by participating in international projects with organizations such as the International Task Force for Child Protection we work to ensure that our student’s education, well being and safety are our priority.
