About the School
KIS International School, centrally located in Bangkok, Thailand, is an IB World School exclusively offering the International Baccalaureate programmes. KIS is a collaborative community of over 800 students and 50 nationalities. We enjoy a strong community atmosphere and a variety of pursuits in academics, athletics, arts, and service. Students at KIS can pursue a continuum of IB education right from the start through the following programmes:
Early Years to Grade 5
Grade 6 to Grade 10
Grade 11 to Grade 12
Grade 11 to Grade 12
Our dedicated teachers and supportive parents work in partnership toward the attainment of student success. The school offers an academically challenging international curriculum and a well-rounded programme of sports, creativity, and community service. We provide all our students, from the youngest children stepping into a classroom for the first time, to our graduates heading off to the best universities, with the tools to become life-long learners, successful leaders, and responsible global citizens.
KIS is recognized as a top-quality international school with high academic standards being fully accredited by both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). We are also licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education, and are active members of the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) and East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS).
We are also a member of AISAA (Asian International School Athletics Association) and MRISA (The Mekong River International Schools Association), along with other international schools, participate in a range of sports and cultural activities provided by the organization.
Through membership and affiliations with these organizations, and by participating in international projects with organizations such as the International Task Force for Child Protection we work to ensure that our student’s education, well being and safety are our priority.

KIS is a full IB World School
KIS offers all four International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes which provide an outstanding framework for learning for students from 3-18 years old. The IB is academically strong, well balanced, international, and respected globally. KIS is just one of three international schools in Bangkok offering the IB experience from the Early Years to Graduation, and the only school in Bangkok to offer all four IB programmes.
KIS helps children learn for the future
Students learn much more than just knowledge at KIS. Students are guided to develop skills in such areas as: thinking critically and creatively, problem solving, reflecting, communicating, social skills, collaboration, self-management, self-motivation, resilience, emotional management, time management, research and information literacy. KIS is an international community
Our students come from 50 different countries across the world. They learn through a globally recognized international curriculum and use resources from many different countries. Our students understand that people from different cultures may have different perspectives.

Through strict child protection and safety protocols, the school provides a safe environment and tends to the well-being of the students and community members.
KIS caters to individual needs
With over 800 students and a schoolwide teacher to student ratio of less than 1:8 our students are all known, understood and respected as individuals and the sense of community is strong.

Equipped with an IB Diploma as well as self-management and academic skills, universities appreciate the qualities of KIS students. Our graduates are offered places at outstanding universities around the world in an incredibly wide range of majors.
KIS has a lovely campus
The grounds are very spacious with plenty of green areas and trees. There are exciting adventure playgrounds for different age groups and extensive facilities for learning. In addition to well-equipped science labs, design workshops, art and drama studios, libraries, and an auditorium, the sporting facilities are also impressive, with grass sports fields, indoor air-conditioned courts, and three swimming pools. The school is located near the city center and is easily accessed from many areas of the city.

KIS has experience
The school was established in 1998 and has offered the IB programmes since that time. KIS was one of the first PYP schools in the region and has had graduating classes since 2010. The school has grown and developed but maintains its integrity and a positive community-minded atmosphere.
